The last two wildflowers in your recent update are Indian Paintbrush and Lupine, respectively. The second may be Larkspur...but probably not.
In the South we used to burn the ticks with the head of a still-smoking, blown-out match stick. They immediately begin backing out of your skin when the heat is applied. Also, try fingernail polish remover...or was it figernail polish? Just don't allow for the head to get torn off under your skin. Not good...
